The Lake Wichita revitalization hit a milestone Tuesday in what is being called a historic moment for a project that is four years in the making.

Those who are working to bring the lake back to life have received their long-awaited permit from the Army Corp of Engineers.

This will allow them to start building and excavating the lake.
