The Community Motorcyclist Association will be coming together next month on April 2nd during what is called the Compassion Run. This is the 11th Annual Compassion Run. An estimated 200 riders are expected to take part in this years fund-raising efforts.

Riders from clubs all over the state will be present in an effort to raise money for a program that helps at rick youth in the Wichita Falls area. The program is called Straight Street and its aim is to make sure young kids at risk have a chance to be exposed to a positive Christian environment. The hope is that they can gain the necessary skills and training to be successful later in life as they begin to mature.

“Individuals who ride motorcycles come together and we raise money for Straight Street and the youth,” said CMA member Ricky Scales.

On Saturday, April 2nd, riders from CMA groups and others will gather at the Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Wichita Falls around 9 in the morning before taking off on a 60-100 mile bike ride. The ride will cost $15 for single riders, but it will cost $20 for a couple to ride. Styles also said that a free lunch will be provided to those who are able to participate.

“We would love to help Texoma become acquainted with Straight Street and the ministry they do, they really make a big impact on our at risk youth,” said Styles.
