Mr. Norman Beaty Jr. will be laid to rest at Nocona Cemetery Friday. The service was organized by the Montague County Veteran Services Office, who only know his name and that he served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
“In this case, there was no family members. So, we pretty much passed the hat around and people didn’t even ask questions they just say ‘Ok veteran, no family? Yeah, we will definitely step up,” Veteran Services Officer Colm Murphy said.
