Wichita County Sheriff David Duke is working even harder to bump up patrols in rural areas after he came under fire during a County Commissioners meeting last week. Electra and Punkin Center residents complained about a lack of deputies patrolling their neighborhoods.
Sheriff Duke said it is difficult to monitor the entire area at all times.
