Our Cumulus Radio family is sad to learn today of the passing of our friend, “The Firecracker King”, Russell Nettles. He was generous, had a heart bigger than The Lone Star State and loved his family and his customers.

Russell began selling fireworks back in 1980 when he was still a kid in high school. Over the years, he built his business to be the the largest and most well-known fireworks store in the area. Russell prided himself on offering customers a great product, giant selection, fair prices and exceptional customer service.

No doubt it was a huge fireworks show in Heaven last night as Russell took his spot. He will be missed by all of us here at Cumulus as well as his thousands of customers, many who drove for miles, some even hours, just to shop at Russell’s Fireworks.
