Ford is offering a free repair for more than a million of its Explorer SUVs for public concerns over possible carbon monoxide leaks from the vehicles.

The automaker is not calling what it’s doing a recall, only saying the repairs are for “peace of mind.”

Ford also says the Explorers have no defect and are safe, but some drivers have complained of nausea, headaches and losing consciousness.
