A new documentary, Prince: R U Listening?, is slated to come out next year. The film will focus on the artist’s early years and ascendency via commentary from musicians who played with him alongside his friends and family, according to Screen Daily.
The film will feature interviews with Dez Dickerson, who joined Prince’s touring band in 1979 and left the group after the 1999 tour, and André Cymone, who played bass in Prince’s teenage band Grand Central in the Seventies and toured with the artist through 1981. It will also feature interviews with Prince’s peers and admirers, including Mick Jagger, Billy Idol, Bono, Lenny Kravitz and Sheila E.
