Wichita Falls police are on the lookout for a suspect who led them on a brief car chase.

Around 9:30pm Tuesday night, police responded to a call for a stolen Pontiac Grand Am in the 2200 block of Buchanan.

When police tried to pull over the driver of that possible stolen vehicle, he led police on a short chase that ended at the intersection of Santa Fe Street and Miami Avenue when the driver hit the curb and ran from authorities.

He left behind a female and a small child in the car, both uninjured in the incident.

At this time, the suspect is on the loose, but authorities do know his identity.

The driver is described as a black male.

He faces charges of Felony Evading and Endangering a Child.
