Drake Debuts Two New Songs Featuring Kanye West, Jay Z

drakeDrake has teased the eclectic sounds of his upcoming album Views From the 6 with two new songs, “Pop Style” and “One Dance.” The Toronto rapper’s highly anticipated album will be released this month, which he confirmed on his OVO Sound Radio Show upon the release of “Summer Sixteen.”

On the heavy, trap-inflected “Pop Style,” the Throne — Jay Z and Kanye West — make a rare appearance together. Drake recently referenced both veteran rappers on “Summer Sixteen,” where he claimed he turned into Hov and compared his pool to West’s. Drake also has a writing credit on West’s song “30 Hours” on The Life of Pablo though he does not appear on the track.

The dancey, breezy “One Dance” harks back to the lighter side of Drake as he sings on the track alongside Nigerian rapper Wizkid and Filipino R&B singer Kyla. Drake previously remixed Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba” with grime artist Skepta and premiered the track on OVO Sound last July.

Last month, Drake made a surprise appearance at Fader Fort during South by Southwest where he announced plans to tour in support of the album. He has yet to specify dates, though he did indicate it would occur after the release of the album.

Last year, the rapper and singer released two mixtapes, including the Future collaboration What a Time to Be Alive and his solo effort If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Most recently, he appeared on Rihanna’s hit single “Work.”
