The ’90s are back in full effect. Salt-N-Pepa, Biz Markie, Kid ‘n Play and many other hip-hop and R&B acts are coming together for a massive tour.
All-4-One, Coolio, Color Me Badd, Kool Moe Dee, Rob Base, Tone Loc, Vanilla Ice and Young MC will also be among the acts embarking on the 29-city tour.
While the nostalgic celebration actually started in the early spring, promoters decided to extend it due to popular demand. ’90s fans can thank the Universal Attractions Agency for putting the shindig together.
“We are so thrilled to be able to bring together some of the most iconic artists of one of the most pivotal decades for music. After the incredible fan response to the first few shows, we knew the Tour had to go national,” read a statement from UAA’s co-owner Jeff Allen
Salt also shared her excitement for the tour. “It feels like you’re taking people back to a time in their lives that they really enjoyed,” said Salt in any interview with USA Today “It’s just one big 90s party.”
Concert go-ers can expect to hear hit songs from the era of The Ricki Lake Show and carpenter jeans; like “Shoop,” “Ice, Ice Baby” and “I Wanna Sex You Up.” Catch the “I Love The 90s Tour” when it rolls through North Texas, June 11 at Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie.
